Success Case: Enabling State/Province Field in Guest Checkout

A customer encountered an issue where the Guest Checkout Delivery Details form did not include a field for the state or province. Since guest accounts do not have an address book, the usual editing options did not apply.
The osCommerce support team suggested a simple solution:
- Navigate to Settings → Configuration → Shipping Customer Details in the admin panel.
- Set the state field to "Required" to ensure it appears during checkout.
After making this adjustment, the customer successfully resolved the issue.
