New Sponsorship Programs Introduced
Two sponsorship programs exist that best target the community the project has attracted, and are titled "osCommerce Community Sponsorship", which is aimed at community members, and "osCommerce Corporate Sponsorship", which is aimed at businesses providing osCommerce related services.
The osCommerce Community Sponsorship program serves to increase the presence of individuals in the community by marking and highlighting their community profile throughout the osCommerce support site as being a participant of the sponsorship program, such as on the community support forums and and on the live shops listing site.
The osCommerce Corporate Sponsorship program serves to increase the presence of businesses in the community by describing the partnership details on the Project Sponsors page and by displaying sponsorship banners throughout the osCommerce support site such as on the community support forums and knowledge base site.
The financial benefits brought to the project from the sponsorship programs will be used in the following areas:
- Server and hardware upgrades for the osCommerce support site
- Organization of public and internal meetings
- Travel and accommodation to public events
- Fund development and support provided by project team members
The sponsorship programs are our way of thanking those that financially support the project, and look forward to bringing additional benefits to project sponsors during the project development phase.
