Progress On The New Tax Structure Implementation
Thomas Plänkers has commited part of the new tax structure implementation to the Catalog module. He and Jan Wildeboer will be finalizing the new structure, which should be completed soon.
An issue still to discuss is how to take care of taxing shipping fees.
osCommerce Turns 2 Years Young
osCommerce has turned 2 years young the past week. More about this event, and the current progress, can be read online at:

CVS: New Logger Class
A new class has been implemented into the Administration Tool to take care of logging actions. Currently the page parse time feature is taking advantage of it. The write() method will soon be extended to allow writing to a log file or to a database.
This class will also be implemented into the Catalog module once the class is finalized.
CVS: New Layout For The Administration Tool
To complete the project name change event, the Administration Tool layout has been updated to match the layout of the Catalog module. The new layout consists of a silver/grey design, with a new navigation menu that no longer resembles the classic box effect.
CVS: Product Copy-To Feature Improved
The "Copy To" feature used when administrating products has been improved which now lets the administrator link the product to another category (as per normal), or to duplicate the product to the same or different category.
This allows for easier and faster administrating when adding new products with similar content.
Currently, duplicating a product does not duplicate the product attributes. This will be provided soon which will be optional.
CVS: New Page Navigation Method
A new page navigation method has been implemented into the splitPageResults class in the Administration Tool, which now provides the administrator a faster method to navigate to any page in the result set returned by database queries.
New Showcases Available
The Showcases section on the Support Site has been updated with 2.2-CVS (03/16/2002) versions of the Catalog module and Administration Tool available.
The Administration Tool has been crippled to read-only mode which is to prevent abuse.
The Showcases section on the Support Site can be reached at:

New Support Team Member
Shortly after the posting of last weeks Weekly Summary report, Mark Evans contacted me to take the position of administrating the Contributions section on the Support Site.
Due to Marks commitment to the project, he is now the newest member to join the project Support Team.
